Job Responsibility
Support the Store Manager in leading daily operations to deliver a smooth, customer-focused experience
Train, coach and develop team members on processes, programs, and products
Foster collaboration, trust, engagement and teamwork amongst the team
Collaborate with leadership to set and achieve store goals
Assist in scheduling staff to ensure optimal coverage and smooth store operations
Manage accounts receivable and payables, process bank deposits and perform bank reconciliations
Manage inventory to ensure accuracy and product availability
Step in to lead the store and guide the team in the Store Manager's absence
Educate and guide customers on eyewear options tailored to their lifestyle, ensuring both style and optimal vision
Perform eyewear repairs and adjustments to ensure proper fit and comfort
Support store operations by performing additional duties as required
Requirements
Registered Optician in Ontario
College degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of two years experience in a customer service focused retail environment
Minimum of one year experience in a coaching or leadership role
Experience in an optical environment is an asset
Proficiency with technology and computers, including MS Office Suite
Excellent organizational, time management and multitasking skills
Outstanding oral and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Proven ability to inspire, coach and mentor a team while driving organizational goals and delivering exceptional customer experiences
A collaborative, adaptable, and proactive team player, able to manage changing priorities effectively
Nice to have
Experience in an optical environment is an asset
