Job Description

In this role, you’ll support driving operational excellence and help foster a customer-focused environment. You’ll empower staff, optimize store performance, and make a meaningful impact on people’s lives – one frame at a time.

Job Responsibility

  • Support the Store Manager in leading daily operations to deliver a smooth, customer-focused experience
  • Train, coach and develop team members on processes, programs, and products
  • Foster collaboration, trust, engagement and teamwork amongst the team
  • Collaborate with leadership to set and achieve store goals
  • Assist in scheduling staff to ensure optimal coverage and smooth store operations
  • Manage accounts receivable and payables, process bank deposits and perform bank reconciliations
  • Manage inventory to ensure accuracy and product availability
  • Step in to lead the store and guide the team in the Store Manager's absence
  • Educate and guide customers on eyewear options tailored to their lifestyle, ensuring both style and optimal vision
  • Perform eyewear repairs and adjustments to ensure proper fit and comfort
  • Support store operations by performing additional duties as required

Requirements

  • Registered Optician in Ontario
  • College degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of two years experience in a customer service focused retail environment
  • Minimum of one year experience in a coaching or leadership role
  • Experience in an optical environment is an asset
  • Proficiency with technology and computers, including MS Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational, time management and multitasking skills
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to inspire, coach and mentor a team while driving organizational goals and delivering exceptional customer experiences
  • A collaborative, adaptable, and proactive team player, able to manage changing priorities effectively
