Assistant Stewarding Manager assists in planning, organizing, directing and controlling the work of employees in the Stewarding Department at Four Seasons Naples Beach Club.
Job Responsibility:
Assist in planning, organizing, directing and controlling the work of employees in the Stewarding Department
Assist in the selection, training, evaluating, leading, motivating, coaching, and disciplining all employees in the Stewarding department
Ensure the organization and sanitation of all kitchens, storage areas, employee dining room, waste receptacle areas, compactor room, carts, tables, and Stewarding Department equipment and machinery
Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory control
Ensure proper use and provide regular care, security and maintenance of machinery and equipment
Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met
Work closely with the Executive Steward to coordinate an adequate supply of china, silver, glass and other equipment used in service
Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct
Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors
Wash china, silver, glassware, pots, and pans and distribute to operational areas
Assist with cleaning of kitchen and Stewarding Department areas
Provide physical maintenance of operating equipment
Requirements:
College degree preferred or equivalent experience is required
Previous experience as an Assistant Stewarding Manager or equivalent supervisory experience is required
Working knowledge of division operations as well as Four Seasons cultural and core standards, policies, and standard operating procedures
Prior knowledge of dish machine, kitchen, and floor cleaning equipment is expected
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Must be able to obtain any required food handling or sanitation certifications required by local or state agencies
Flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays
Nice to have:
Bi-lingual skills are preferred
