Job Description:

The Assistant Spa Manager assists in providing the leadership and management of the Spa Department. This includes supervising the team, ensuring the company standards are consistently applied, participating in operational decisions, creating, developing and implementing treatments or concepts, demonstrating effective retail management and delivering high level of service to guests.

  • Help identifying and assessing the needs and opportunities for career development of each team member through effective coaching and training
  • Interview, train, schedule, monitor employee performance and discipline members of the Spa team
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records and statistics on the Spa department employees
  • Actively participate in employee relations activities and programmes
  • Promote harmony between the team members and all hotel departments
  • Report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform/attire and name tag
  • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene and adhere to the hotel and department personal appearance standards
  • Develop operation manuals for the department and implement training programs to ensure the growth of the team members and level of service

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in hotel rooms operations
  • At least one year in a supervisory/management role
  • Knowledge of property management systems required
  • Opera and Delphi knowledge preferred
  • Strong business and work ethic required
  • Ability to quickly and positively establish rapport is required
  • Above average communication skills - both written and oral - are required

Nice to have:

  • Candidates with a degree in hospitality, or similar, are preferred
  • Current Four Seasons employees, bilingual candidates and those with prior experience in a luxury hotel/environment will receive priority consideration
