Are you a dynamic and driven Assistant Site Manager ready for a new challenge? We are looking for a key individual to join our team on a permanent basis to help deliver a high-quality residential scheme in Central Bedfordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a reputable housebuilder and grow your career with a company that values its people. As an Assistant Site Manager, you will be integral to the successful delivery of our new development of a medium sized project. You will work closely with the Site Manager, assisting in the day-to-day running of the site, from early construction phases to final handovers.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assisting the Site Manager in the overall supervision and management of the site
  • Ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standards of quality, safety, and environmental compliance
  • Monitoring and driving the build programme to ensure deadlines are met
  • Coordinating and managing subcontractors, ensuring they work efficiently and to specification
  • Conducting regular site inspections and quality checks
  • Managing material deliveries and site logistics
  • Maintaining accurate site records and reports
  • Fostering a positive, professional, and safety-conscious culture on site

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Assistant Site Manager or a highly skilled Site Supervisor in residential construction
  • A strong understanding of residential construction processes, building regulations, and health and safety legislation
  • Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certificates
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
  • A proactive and problem-solving approach to work
  • A passion for delivering a high-quality product for our customers
