Job Responsibility
Assist the Site Manager in the day-to-day running of the site, ensuring the project stays on schedule
Coordinate, supervise, and motivate subcontractors and direct labor to ensure high productivity and quality workmanship
Champion on-site Health & Safety, ensuring strict compliance with company policies and HSE regulations
Drive quality standards across all phases of the build, taking pride in delivering defect-free homes ready for NHBC/LABC sign-off and customer handover
Assist with calling off materials and managing site deliveries
Maintain accurate site diaries, update progress reports, and resolve day-to-day issues on the ground
Requirements
Proven experience as an Assistant Site Manager (or a highly experienced tradesperson ready to take the step up) on new build housing projects
Valid SMSTS or SSSTS certification
Valid CSCS Management card
Up-to-date First Aid at Work certificate
A solid understanding of traditional build methods and NHBC standards
Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to drive trades effectively
