Job Description:

Assistant Site Manager required in Essex. MadiganGill's specialist Trades and Labour team are seeking a SSSTS card holding Assistant Site Manager for a job in Ingatestone.

Requirements:

  • Hold a valid SSSTS card with the relevant ticket
  • Have full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including Hard hat, boots, hi-vis & goggles
  • Have previous experience in a similar role, working alongside the NHBC - be reliable, hard-working and punctual
  • Have good communication skills and be able to work both independently and as part of a team

  • You will be heavily involved in coordination of trades, monitoring progress, and ensuring all build stages meet NHBC requirements and company standards
  • Site Coordination and Set up: Assist in establishing and maintaining site facilities, temporary works, service routes and traffic management
  • Prepare and support method statements for temporary works in line with Health & Safety plans
  • Work closely with the Site Manager and H&S Advisor to ensure site compliance at all times
  • Build Management: Support the supervision of groundworks, formwork, blockwork and associated setting-out checks (E.D.M. use advantageous)
  • Coordinate and monitor subcontractors, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to programme
  • Review drawings, check work against specifications, and ensure materials and labour are available to meet progress targets
  • Identify issues early, reporting to the Site Manager and implementing agreed solutions
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of finish across all stages of construction, particularly around brick/blockwork, DPCs, insulation, cavity standards and structural elements
