Job Responsibility
work alongside the Service Manager to ensure the delivery of a safe, high-quality, person-centred homecare service
play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the service, supporting both colleagues and the people we support to achieve the highest levels of independence and wellbeing within their own homes and communities
be visible within the service, providing guidance and leadership to care staff while ensuring care is delivered in line with individual support plans, regulatory requirements and best practice
supporting people with a range of needs, including older adults and individuals living with dementia, you’ll help promote dignity, choice and independence through person-centred care
assist with service coordination, quality monitoring, staff supervision and performance management
in the absence of the Service Manager, take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the service, including leading the team, conducting one-to-ones and appraisals, facilitating team meetings, and ensuring safe and effective service delivery
build positive relationships with colleagues, families and stakeholders to create a caring, supportive environment that enables people to live well at home
Requirements
experience supporting people with learning difficulties in a social care setting
Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or actively working towards)
a strong caring nature to support others to live an enriched life and fulfil their potential
a working knowledge and understanding of the Care Council for Wales Code of Practice
flexibility to work shifts and provide cover as required
a full driving licence - essential and happy to travel for meetings and training
access to your own car and happy to use this for transporting people we support to and from activities as well as obtaining business insurance for your vehicle for which we pay 55p per mile to cover this
