This role presents a dynamic and rewarding opportunity for an Assistant Sales Manager / Sales Manager to drive success in a luxury hotel. The Sales Department is responsible for driving revenue and securing bookings for the hotel through direct sales, relationship management and ensuring all client enquiries and bookings are managed in a proactive manner that exceeds guest expectations. The Assistant Sales Manager / Sales Manager prospect and sells to individual Corporate Negotiated accounts or Group Bookings on behalf of the hotel in accordance with the objectives established in the marketing plan. The Assistant Sales Manager / Sales Manager will ensure that sales activities, top accounts and bookings are focused to yield maximum revenue per available room.
Job Responsibility:
Support the Sales team by driving business growth through proactive sales strategies, client engagement, and maintaining long-term relationships
Generate new business and nurture existing client relationships, responding to inquiries, conducting site inspections and hosting entertainment at Food & Beverage Outlets
Track and manage sales activities, maintaining proper client records, and being able to travel for Hotel's proposed sales trips where required
Manage a portfolio of accounts, negotiating sales contracts, and working closely with the Conference Services team to ensure the smooth execution of Group events
Client engagement, communication, successful planning and relationship building are core aspects of this role
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality, or a related field
Minimum 2–5 years of experience in hotel sales, including at least 1 year in a similar capacity in a luxury brand
A proactive and customer-oriented mind set with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth in the luxury hospitality sector
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time-management capabilities with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple accounts in a detailed manner
Ability to work independently and collaboratively is key
