The Assistant Retail Operations Manager supports the area retail managers to ensure efficient processes, exceptional customer service, and alignment with company policies and performance goals. This role works with the Retail Operations Manager to drive operational excellence, support team development, and maintain consistent standards across locations.

Develop reports to monitor store progress utilizing operating systems
Help stores develop plans and programs to develop consistent country store merchandising standards
Clearly and concisely communicate business and store objectives to area leaders
Communicate business activities, objectives and required contributions to targets
Drive and maximize sales performance through the retail locations
Ensure the achievement of Heritage retail objectives with retail locations
Ensure stores and management are adhering to and working per company policies
Report to the Retail Operations Manager about the performance of each retail location
Assist in the ROM with determining price schedules and discount rates
Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts by monitoring sales data
Represent company at trade association meetings and company sponsored events
Manage payroll and budgets of sites in line with retail locations sale performance
Ensure that stores are adhering to compliance requirements in all areas of operational activity, company policies and procedures
Travel to different Heritage Stores
Act as a liaison between retail teams, leadership and support departments
Abide by all safety regulations to ensure safety of oneself, coworkers and customers

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, agriculture, or related field
3-5 years of retail, operations, or supervisory experience
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to analyze data and support operational decision-making
Proficient in Microsoft suite specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Ability to travel between retail locations frequently
Prior experience with KPIs, budgets, PNL and expense management
Nice to have:
Prior experience with Operating systems, CRM or POS
Experience supporting multiple locations or district level operations
Background in agricultural retail, cooperative operations, or related industry
Proven ability to support high customer service and hospitality standards
Experience supporting audits, inspections or corrective action plans
Knowledge of safety programs, OSHA standards or regulatory compliance
