Assistant Retail Manager - Royal Dublin Society (RDS), Dublin. We’re looking for a collaborative Assistant Retail Manager to maintain efficient beverage operations across hospitality and match-day event areas at the RDS - one of Ireland’s most prestigious event venues, hosting conferences, exhibitions, concerts, sporting events, and the world-famous Dublin Horse Show! As Assistant Retail Manager you will support the Beverage Manager, using your hands on experience in stock control you will play a key role in this exciting commercial hospitality team. The Assistant Retail Manager role focuses on stock control, compliance, operational standards, and supporting team leadership to ensure high service quality and operational efficiency.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and monitor the electronic stock control system
Track beverage wastage and investigate stock variances
Liaise with Hospitality and M+E teams to ensure stock is counted, stored, and distributed accurately
Ensure all bar stock areas are maintained in an organised and presentable condition
Ensure hospitality and M+E bars are set up and maintained to high operational standards
Support month-end stocktakes
Compile and review reports from iAuditor to ensure compliance
Monitor feedback from Team Leaders regarding maintenance issues, staff briefings, and training records
Conduct weekly Health & Safety and maintenance inspections across beverage areas
Develop action plans to maintain cleanliness and operational standards
Report maintenance issues to stadium management
Update the Team Leader promotions tracker
Support recruitment processes by conducting interviews and assessing candidate suitability for Team Leader roles
Requirements:
Good attention to detail and ability to analyze reports and data
Knowledge of health and safety standards in hospitality environments
Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
Experience in hospitality or beverage operations is desirable
