Job Description

The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations of the restaurant within a luxury five-star hotel setting. This role ensures exceptional guest experiences, maintains high service standards, and assists in managing staff, inventory, and financial performance.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist in managing day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service flow and adherence to hotel standards
  • Monitor cleanliness, hygiene, and safety compliance in all areas
  • Ensure personalized, high-quality service to guests, addressing complaints and resolving issues promptly
  • Maintain strong knowledge of menu offerings, wine pairings, and special promotions
  • Supervise, train, and motivate restaurant staff to deliver exceptional service
  • Assist in scheduling shifts and managing labor costs effectively
  • Support in monitoring budgets, controlling costs, and achieving revenue targets
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering and stock control

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or related field
  • Minimum 2–3 years in a supervisory role within a fine dining or luxury hotel environment
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of food & beverage operations and wine service
  • Proficiency in POS systems and MS Office
  • Guest-centric approach with attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Team player with a proactive and positive attitude
