Job Description:

We’re on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our vibrant team at one of the most iconic cultural destinations in the world — The British Museum. Our restaurant serves fresh, seasonal food and high-quality drinks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, all crafted with care and quality. As part of the Benugo family, we’re committed to creating memorable experiences for every guest, just as unforgettable as the museum’s treasures like the Rosetta Stone.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the day-to-day running of the restaurant
  • Lead service from the floor and ensure high standard of customer experience
  • Work closely with Restaurant Manager and Operations Manager
  • Coach team members in real time
  • Support reservations, table management, and guest flow
  • Handle customer feedback and resolve issues
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and training
  • Drive team engagement
  • Support labour control, productivity, and commercial performance
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, and company procedures
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service
  • Deputise for senior management when required

Requirements:

  • Full-time availability and flexibility to work any day of the week (Monday–Sunday)
