As the Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will support the day-to-day operations of our signature restaurant, ensuring a consistently high standard of service and guest experience. You will provide leadership to a diverse team, fostering a positive and collaborative environment where associates are engaged and motivated to deliver exceptional service. Key responsibilities include handling guest inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner, assisting with roster planning and task delegation, and supporting the efficient management of labour costs in line with business needs. You will also play a key role in onboarding, training, and developing team members, helping to build capability and service excellence across the department. Working closely with other hotel departments, you will ensure seamless operations and contribute to the overall success and performance of the outlet.

Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth delivery and adherence to high-quality standards
Maintains food handling and sanitation standards
Maintain a calm demeanor in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment
Ensure prompt resolution of any guest complaints, reporting any issues and recommending solutions
Training focus to ensure a high standard of service delivery
Supervise and mentor the restaurant team, including scheduling, training and performance evaluations
Oversee inventory management including ordering, stocking supplies
Contribute to menu planning and promotional activities in collaboration with the culinary team
Requirements
Previous supervisory/managerial experience in a similar role or fast-paced environment
The ability to create a positive first impression with an understanding of the importance of 5-star grooming standards
A hands on approach with strong attention to detail and the desire to produce high-quality operational and administrative outcomes
Exceptional people management and interpersonal skills along with strong communication skills
The confidence to promote ideas and make sound decisions under pressure
Must hold a Responsible Service of Alcohol ( Queensland)
Be available to work over a 7-day rotating roster which will include working evenings, early starts, public holidays, and weekends
