We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Property Manager to join their team for temporary and temp-to-hire opportunities. This role is ideal for a proactive professional with strong knowledge of LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) and affordable housing compliance, with a focus on managing recertifications and related documentation to support the property management team.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee and process resident recertifications in compliance with LIHTC and other affordable housing regulations
Prepare, review, and maintain accurate documentation, including lease agreements, income verifications, and compliance reports
Assist in catching up on overdue recertifications and ensure timely completion of all related tasks
Support the Property Manager in daily operations, including resident relations, leasing activities, and property inspections
Communicate with residents to collect documentation, address inquiries, and ensure compliance with program requirements
Monitor and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local housing regulations
Assist with applicant screenings, lease signings, and other leasing tasks as needed
Requirements:
In-depth knowledge of LIHTC programs and affordable housing compliance
Proven experience with resident recertifications, income verifications, and related documentation
Familiarity with HUD, Section 8, or other affordable housing programs is highly desirable
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail
Proficient in property management software (e.g., Yardi, OneSite) and Microsoft Office
Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Previous experience in property management, preferably as an Assistant Property Manager or similar role
Nice to have:
Familiarity with HUD, Section 8, or other affordable housing programs
