Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to support day-to-day resident administration for a Contract position in Dorchester, Massachusetts. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced property management environment, handling sensitive resident information with professionalism and care. The role focuses on income recertification activities, resident communication, appointment coordination, and accurate record maintenance while delivering attentive service to both seniors and families.

Job Responsibility

  • Coordinate resident appointments and maintain an organized schedule for income recertification meetings and follow-up discussions
  • Review household income materials, identify missing items, and request supporting documentation needed to complete compliance-related files
  • Prepare and distribute verification requests to confirm resident-provided financial and eligibility information
  • Support Section 8 and HUD-related recertification processes in accordance with established housing compliance guidelines
  • Maintain complete resident records through both physical filing systems and electronic documentation platforms
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, helping them understand requirements and encouraging timely submission of required paperwork
  • Use property management software such as RealPage OneSite or comparable systems like Yardi to track resident information and administrative activities
  • Assist with general property administration tasks in a high-volume paperwork environment while protecting confidential information at all times

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of HUD Section 8 regulations, especially resident income recertification procedures
  • Prior experience in property administration, property management, or affordable housing support roles
  • Familiarity with RealPage OneSite
  • experience with Yardi or similar property management systems is also valuable
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage large amounts of paper and electronic documentation accurately
  • Ability to handle confidential resident information with discretion and professionalism
  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully with senior residents as well as families
  • Experience using business software related to accounting, CRM, billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or budget tracking is preferred
