Robert Half is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to provide operational and administrative support for property management activities. In this role, you will work closely with property managers to ensure smooth daily operations, address tenant needs, and contribute to the successful management of residential, commercial, or mixed-use properties. Job Responsibility:
Serve as a primary point of contact for tenants, addressing inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests promptly and professionally
Assist property managers with property inspections, tenant move-ins/move-outs, and lease administration
Coordinate maintenance and repair schedules with vendors and contractors as needed, and follow up on completion
Prepare necessary documentation, such as lease agreements, tenant notices, and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Collect rent payments, manage delinquency reports, and assist with executing payment plans when applicable
Conduct regular walkthroughs of properties to identify any maintenance or safety issues and report accordingly
Handle administrative tasks, such as maintaining tenant records, processing invoices, and filing work orders
Support marketing and leasing initiatives, including updating property listings and scheduling property tours
Contribute to budget preparation and cost management by tracking expenses and identifying potential savings
Stay informed about landlord-tenant laws and local housing regulations to ensure compliance with policies
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in property management, real estate, or a related administrative role
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle tenant interactions professionally
Ability to multitask effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio, or similar) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
High attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving capabilities
Knowledge of landlord-tenant laws and property management best practices preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required
