The Assistant Property Manager supports the Property Manager in the day-to-day operations, financial administration, tenant relations, and vendor coordination across assigned assets. This role is designed for a highly organized, service-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is motivated to grow into a leadership role within commercial real estate operations. The Assistant Property Manager combines operational discipline, strong financial and administrative execution, a hospitality-focused approach to tenant interaction, and comfort leveraging technology to drive results.
Job Responsibility
Support tenant communications and day-to-day relationship management
Ensure all tenant requests are handled promptly, professionally, and with full follow-through
Assist with tenant onboarding, move-ins, move-outs, and coordination activities
Support tenant engagement initiatives and on-site events
Assist with budget tracking and financial reporting
Process invoices, coding, and approvals in accordance with established procedures
Support CAM reconciliations and accounts receivable follow-up
Monitor vendor billing and ensure compliance with contract terms
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
Coordinate service vendors and track completion of maintenance items
Support management of work orders, preventative maintenance programs, and life safety documentation
Ensure vendor compliance, including COIs and contractual requirements
Conduct regular property inspections and identify operational issues
Utilize Asana Partners technology platforms (e.g., Yardi Voyager, tenant communication tools, work order systems)
Maintain accurate operational and financial data across systems
Assist in preparing monthly reporting packages and performance summaries
Help ensure transparency and consistency in reporting
Support Asana Partners operational standards and hospitality-driven culture
Collaborate closely with Property Managers, Engineers, and vendor partners
Contribute to a culture of collaboration, accountability, responsiveness, and intellectual curiosity that emphasizes hospitality and challenges conventional thinking
Requirements
2–5 years of commercial property management experience preferred
Exposure to retail, mixed-use, or office environments preferred
Hospitality background or experience strongly valued
Nice to have
Experience with Yardi or similar property management platforms
Exposure to hospitality-focused or high-touch environments
Strong interest in growing into a Property Manager role
