The Assistant Property Manager supports the day-to-day operations of residential, commercial, or mixed-use properties. This role works closely with the Property Manager to help maintain tenant satisfaction, coordinate maintenance, manage administrative tasks, and support financial and leasing activities.
Job Responsibility:
Assist with daily property operations and tenant relations
Respond to tenant inquiries and service requests in a timely and professional manner
Coordinate maintenance requests and follow up to ensure completion
Support rent collection, invoice processing, and basic accounts receivable/payable functions
Help maintain accurate tenant files, lease documentation, and property records
Assist with lease administration, renewals, move-ins, and move-outs
Conduct property inspections and help ensure buildings and grounds are well maintained
Communicate with vendors, contractors, and service providers regarding work orders and scheduled services
Prepare reports, correspondence, and other administrative documents
Support budget tracking and expense monitoring
Ensure compliance with company policies, lease terms, and applicable property regulations
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in property management, real estate, administration, or a related field
Strong customer service and tenant relations skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
experience with property management software is preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of leases, work orders, and basic financial reporting preferred
Nice to have:
Experience supporting residential, commercial, or mixed-use portfolios
Problem-solving skills and ability to handle tenant concerns professionally
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with onsite teams, vendors, and management
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, property management, or related field
