What we are hiring for: New Land is hiring an Assistant Property Manager. The Assistant Property Manager is responsible for assisting the Property Manager in maintaining all aspects of property operations, including leasing, marketing, resident relations and functions of the community.
Job Responsibility:
Warmly greeting all current and prospective residents that come in to the office
Demonstrating an all-inclusive understanding of pricing, floor plans, amenities, and other offerings the community provides
Answering incoming phone calls warmly and professionally, and assisting accordingly
Maintaining accurate client files in accordance with Company policy
Assisting residents with work orders, packages, dry cleaning
Assisting the Property Manager with managing the Leasing Agent
Conducting property walks and entering work orders
Leasing apartments
Assisting with processing rental applications and performing lease signings
Conducting move out/move in inspections
Scheduling maintenance/contractors
Drafting and entering leases
Assisting with setting rents and renewal rates
Sending 5 day/14 day notices and balance letters
Assisting with processing security deposit transmittals
Maintaining the vacancy board
Assisting with setting leasing goals
Evaluating upcoming expirations and assisting with setting rent amounts/specials
Advising on property improvements/updates for individual units and common areas
Conducting market studies
Requirements:
Leasing or property management experience required
Enjoy and take pride in providing an unparalleled customer service experience--warm, friendly and helpful in person, over the phone and via email
Excellent communication skills demonstrating verbal and written expression, active listening and the ability to maintain strong interpersonal relationships
Must be reliable, honest, organized, detail-oriented, proactive, flexible and accepting of change
Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people
Proficient operating computer systems, specifically Microsoft Office Suite. Experience operating Property Management Systems such as Appfolio or Yardi required. Experience operating standard office equipment
Willingness and ability to work a non-traditional schedule weekends
