We are looking for an organized and service-focused Assistant Property Manager to support daily office and property administration activities in Livermore, California. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing front-office coordination with resident, vendor, and visitor support in a detail-oriented property management environment. The role requires strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to keep office operations running smoothly while assisting with a range of administrative tasks.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee front office activities to maintain an efficient, welcoming, and well-organized administrative environment
Direct incoming digital and physical correspondence to the appropriate recipients and assist with outbound shipping and mailing needs
Accept and organize deliveries for office materials and equipment, ensuring items are received and distributed properly
Serve as a primary point of contact for visitors, vendors, and callers by answering questions and connecting them with the appropriate housing or organizational resources
Monitor entry access using the building communication system and admit only approved employees and screened guests
Coordinate support for shared office needs, including meal orders and replenishment of refreshments and common-area supplies
Provide administrative assistance for meetings, community activities, and special projects as requested by management
Handle additional operational and clerical duties that contribute to effective property and office support
Requirements:
Prior experience in property management, property administration, or a related office support role
Background in residential, commercial, or affordable housing environments is preferred
Familiarity with leasing processes and tenant-facing customer service responsibilities
Working knowledge of Yardi software or comparable property management systems
Understanding of HUD guidelines and affordable housing practices is a plus
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities
Clear written and verbal communication skills with a detail-oriented and helpful approach
Ability to interact effectively with residents, vendors, visitors, and internal staff members
