Job Description

As an Assistant Property Manager at JLL, you will play a vital supporting role in the daily operations of a 443,000 square foot Office property. As an administrative leader, you will oversee the property in the absence of the Group Manager. Additionally, you’ll work closely with tenants, vendors and engineers, and learn valuable skills while drafting vital financial reports. This position is a great learning opportunity and can serve as a springboard to leadership roles in Property Management at JLL.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist with tenant communications and service requests, ensuring prompt response times and effective resolution of issues
  • Support financial management activities including invoice processing, budget tracking, and preparation of monthly operating reports
  • Coordinate maintenance work orders with engineering teams and external contractors to maintain high property standards
  • Tracking Certificates of Insurance (COI) in a Jones database
  • Conduct regular property walks and inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Assist with lease administration tasks including document preparation, tenant move-in coordination, and file management
  • Help facilitate tenant events and building communications to enhance community engagement and satisfaction

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, Communications, or related field
  • New York Real Estate license required within 6 months of hire date
  • 1-2 years of commercial property management experience with demonstrated success in tenant relations
  • 1-2 years of experience in budgeting, invoicing and financial reporting
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Problem-solving mindset with ability to handle challenging situations diplomatically and effectively
  • Familiarity with property management software systems such as Yardi, MRI, or similar platforms
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
