We are looking for a motivated Assistant Project Manager to join our team in the Toms River, New Jersey area. In this role, you will support the management of multiple residential construction projects, ensuring their smooth execution from start to finish. This position requires a proactive individual capable of overseeing safety protocols, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining accurate project documentation.
Job Responsibility:
Monitor and enforce safety standards on construction sites, including worker protection, site security, and proper signage
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all trades using Procore, ensuring seamless communication and record-keeping
Utilize Procore software to manage drawings, submittals, RFIs, photos, meeting minutes, and project schedules
Log daily construction progress with detailed written and photo documentation in Procore
Collaborate with the in-office Assistant Project Manager to process and track material orders, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget
Develop and update weekly and monthly schedules to ensure projects remain on track for timely completion
Coordinate subcontractor activities and sequencing to optimize project workflows
Support site inspections and provide feedback to ensure compliance with project plans and safety regulations
Assist in budget management and tracking to maintain financial accuracy across all projects
Requirements:
At least 2 years of experience in the construction industry or related field
Proficiency in project management software, particularly Procore
Familiarity with property management and construction processes
Knowledge of GCS Premier and AIA billing systems
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and subcontractors
OSHA certification or understanding of workplace safety standards
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Detail-oriented mindset with a strong focus on accuracy and organization
