Job Description

An established multidisciplinary consultancy based in London is seeking an ambitious Assistant Project Manager to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Assistant Project Manager looking to take the next step in their career while working on a wide range of projects across the residential, commercial and public sectors.

Job Responsibility

  • Supporting the full project lifecycle from initial concept through to completion
  • Preparing project documentation
  • Assisting with contract administration
  • Managing stakeholder communication
  • Helping deliver projects on time and to budget
  • Working on new-build and refurbishment schemes

Requirements

  • Degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related built environment discipline
  • 1-2 years' experience in a project management or assistant project management role, ideally within a consultancy
  • Working knowledge of JCT contracts
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach
  • Ideally working towards or keen to pursue chartership via RICS or similar body

  • Communicates with key business leaders to provide updates on the status of projects, surface and address concerns, and plan specific actions as needed to ensure the on-time and on-budget completion of the projects
  • Conducts project site inspections as needed to monitor progress and support project-assigned team members, steps in as needed to address and resolve issues and problems, and recommends, approves, and implements modifications to the project plans, schedule, staffing, or budget as needed
  • Completes various human resources, financial, administrative, and other reports and analysis, and performs other duties as assigned or as necessary
