A respected multidisciplinary construction consultancy based in South London is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join their growing team. This Assistant Project Manager will support Directors and Senior Project Managers across a diverse portfolio of projects including education, residential, commercial refurbishment and public sector schemes. The Assistant Project Manager will gain exposure to projects ranging from £2m to £40m in value across Greater London and the surrounding boroughs.
Job Responsibility:
Support Directors and Senior Project Managers across a diverse portfolio of projects
Support procurement activities under JCT Traditional and Design & Build contracts
Contribute to programme management
Assist with risk and stakeholder reporting
Attend design team and site progress meetings
Prepare monthly client reports
Assist with contract administration duties
Help manage change control procedures
Monitor contractor performance
Maintain project documentation including risk registers and programme trackers
Gain hands-on exposure to project strategy, procurement advice and stakeholder management
Requirements:
Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Building Surveying or a related discipline
Working towards MRICS, MAPM or MCIOB accreditation
Previous consultancy-side experience across one or more sectors such as education, residential or commercial
Understanding of JCT contracts, RIBA stages and programme management principles
