Job Description

A well-established project management consultancy based in Manchester is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager to develop within a forward-thinking consultancy known for delivering high-quality schemes across the North West. The successful Assistant Project Manager will gain exposure to a diverse range of projects including commercial, residential, and public sector developments. The Assistant Project Manager will support senior team members in delivering projects from inception to completion. This Assistant Project Manager role is ideal for a driven Assistant Project Manager looking to gain hands-on experience and structured progression within a supportive environment. The Assistant Project Manager will be involved in client-facing activities and play a key role in successful project delivery.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist in managing project programmes, budgets, and risks across multiple schemes
  • Coordinate design teams
  • Prepare reports
  • Support procurement processes
  • Attend meetings
  • Liaise with stakeholders
  • Ensure projects remain on track
  • Support contract administration duties
  • Monitor project performance
  • Ensure compliance with agreed objectives

Requirements

  • Degree in Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Progress towards professional accreditation such as RICS, APM, or CIOB is highly desirable
  • Previous experience working as an Assistant Project Manager or in a similar role within a consultancy environment is preferred
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Excellent communication
  • A proactive approach
