An established multidisciplinary construction consultancy in Birmingham is looking to appoint an Assistant Project Manager within their education sector team.
Job Responsibility:
Support the delivery of primary and secondary school refurbishments, academy trust expansions and further education campus upgrades
Assist in delivering projects across RIBA Stages 1-7
Support procurement via traditional and Design & Build routes under JCT contracts
Contribute to programme monitoring, risk management and compliance with ESFA and local authority funding requirements
Attend stakeholder meetings with headteachers, estates managers and contractor teams
Assist in preparing tender documentation, managing change control and supporting contract administration duties
Deliver projects within live school environments, requiring careful phasing and safeguarding awareness
Requirements:
Prior construction consultancy experience as an Assistant Project Manager
Construction-related degree
Working towards MRICS, MAPM or MCIOB status
Previous consultancy experience delivering education or public sector projects
