Greystar is seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager to support a large-scale internal resident relocation and refurbishment program at our flagship student accommodation asset in Woolloongabba, Brisbane. This is a long-term contract role (~18 months), working closely with the Operations & Relocation Project Manager on a complex, live project within a fully occupied high-rise environment. This role is ideally suited to someone with baseline project or operations experience who is looking to develop a long-term career in project management. You will play a key role in coordinating day-to-day activities, supporting stakeholder communication, and ensuring resident experience remains central throughout a fast-paced and dynamic program of works.
Job Responsibility:
Support the Operations & Relocation Project Manager in the planning and delivery of staged resident relocations within a live PBSA environment
Assist with relocation schedules, tracking milestones, and maintaining project documentation
Coordinate with internal teams, onsite operators, contractors, and service providers to support smooth execution of relocation activities
Help manage resident communications, including notices, updates, and responding to queries with a customer-first mindset
Provide on-the-ground support during relocation periods, assisting with logistics and issue resolution as needed
Assist in identifying risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating appropriately to the Project Manager
Maintain accurate records, trackers, and reporting to support project governance
Requirements:
Baseline experience in project coordination, operations, facilities, property, hospitality, or a related environment
A strong interest in developing a long-term career in project management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence engaging with residents, contractors, and internal teams
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
A flexible, hands-on approach and willingness to support onsite operations as required
Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (or working towards one) is advantageous but not essential
