Job Description:
The Assistant Project Manager supports the delivery of the Electrical, Mechanical, Public Health, Fire, Telecoms and BEMs design associated with the Old Oak Common Station Project, one of the UK’s largest and most complex infrastructure developments and a key interchange for High Speed 2. Working as part of the project management team, the role assists in coordinating design, engineering, and stakeholder activities to ensure the project is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in line with quality and regulatory requirements. The Assistant Project Manager provides day-to-day support in project planning, programme monitoring, reporting, and risk management. The role involves close collaboration with contractors, consultants, and client representatives to track progress, resolve issues, and maintain effective communication across the project. Responsibilities include assisting with the preparation of project documentation, monitoring key milestones, supporting commercial and change management processes, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. This role is suited to a proactive and detail-oriented professional with experience in large infrastructure or construction projects. The Assistant Project Manager will contribute to the successful delivery of a nationally significant transport hub at Old Oak Common, gaining exposure to complex programme management, stakeholder engagement, and multidisciplinary project delivery within a major UK infrastructure programme.
