Job Description

We are representing our client to look for talents in joining their dynamic academic team and play a vital role in educating future medical professionals.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver lectures, tutorials, bedside teaching, clinical skills training, and practical sessions in General Surgery and related surgical disciplines
  • Supervise medical students during clinical postings, ward rounds, operating theatre exposure, and outpatient clinics
  • Prepare teaching materials, examination papers, OSCE stations, and assessment tools
  • Participate in curriculum development, programme review, and academic quality assurance activities
  • Mentor students and supervise academic research projects
  • Conduct research, publish scholarly work, and participate in academic conferences
  • Support accreditation exercises, faculty committees, community engagement, and student recruitment initiatives

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MBBS) recognized by the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC)
  • Master's degree / specialist qualification in Surgery or equivalent
  • Minimum 3-5 years of clinical and/or teaching experience
  • Strong clinical, communication, leadership, and mentoring skills
  • Registered with MMC with valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC) is highly prefferred
  • National Specialist Register (NSR) in Surgery is highly preferred
  • Experience in undergraduate or postgraduate medical education
  • Research publications in peer-reviewed journals
  • Familiarity with MQA, MMC, and accreditation requirements will be an added advantage
