Job Responsibility
Deliver lectures, tutorials, bedside teaching, clinical skills training, and practical sessions in General Surgery and related surgical disciplines
Supervise medical students during clinical postings, ward rounds, operating theatre exposure, and outpatient clinics
Prepare teaching materials, examination papers, OSCE stations, and assessment tools
Participate in curriculum development, programme review, and academic quality assurance activities
Mentor students and supervise academic research projects
Conduct research, publish scholarly work, and participate in academic conferences
Support accreditation exercises, faculty committees, community engagement, and student recruitment initiatives
Requirements
Medical degree (MBBS) recognized by the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC)
Master's degree / specialist qualification in Surgery or equivalent
Minimum 3-5 years of clinical and/or teaching experience
Strong clinical, communication, leadership, and mentoring skills
Registered with MMC with valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC) is highly prefferred
National Specialist Register (NSR) in Surgery is highly preferred
Experience in undergraduate or postgraduate medical education
Research publications in peer-reviewed journals
Familiarity with MQA, MMC, and accreditation requirements will be an added advantage
