Reporting to the School of Human Ecology Chair, the Assistant Professor of Interior Architecture and Design position requires undergraduate teaching, developing and sustaining a productive program of scholarship, and providing service to the School, college, and university, as well as engaging in student success initiatives and professional development. The position is an academic (10 month) tenure-track appointment.

Requirements:
Earned PhD in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related field by August 1, 2026, with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Interior Design or Architecture
NCIDQ certification or eligibility
Ability to teach a range of studio and lecture courses, e.g. a senior capstone studio course and codes
Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives
Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development
Demonstrated commitment to advancing a strong and growing research and scholarship agenda and the production of research/creative activities as appropriate to the discipline

Engagement with the interior design profession and/or experience with related professional practice
