Job Description:

The position is focused on both teaching and research at the Faculty of Informatics, Masaryk University.

Job Responsibility:

Carry out research of excellent quality in the area of software engineering and/or closely related areas
prepare and deliver lectures and tutorials in courses of software engineering and programming at the bachelor as well as master level
take full responsibility for some courses
show flexibility in teaching subjects not directly related to research
supervise undergraduate as well as graduate students
apply for research projects and advance to an associate professor level

Requirements:

PhD in computer science
existing track record in research
experience in teaching
passion for problem-solving and desire to work with students
dynamic, flexible personality, ability to work well in teams
fluency in English (both spoken and written)
experience from other countries than Czechia and Slovakia (at least one year)

Nice to have:

PhD thesis and/or subsequent research in software engineering and/or closely related areas
at least some publications with co-authors from outside of the Czech and Slovak Republics
experience from working on grant projects or even attracting grant funds
ability to work well in interdisciplinary teams
other language(s) welcome
