A.B.D. candidates will also be considered with the expectation that their doctoral degree is awarded before August 1st, 2026

Job Responsibility

Teach a full-time teaching load which could include: Introduction to Criminology and Criminal Justice, Research Methods and Statistics, Corrections, Victimology, Introduction to Sociology, Juvenile Justice, and new courses pertaining to the hire’s specialization
Utilize innovative and collaborative teaching methods in support of the School’s mission and learning objectives
Attend school and faculty meetings
Contribute to School and interdisciplinary initiatives, including recruitment and retention efforts and curriculum development
Participate in University activities including but not limited to: extra- and co-curricular activities supporting student success and achievement in alignment with a liberal arts tradition, academic advising, institutional and school service, and professional development activities which personally and academically enhance a professional academic career
Perform other essential duties as assigned in the Faculty Manual
Serve as an academic supervisor for students in the Criminology major, and may supervise teaching assistants, student internships, and student research
