Job Description:
The Assistant Professor at UNSW Bengaluru is an academic role focused on coordinating and delivering high-quality undergraduate teaching. The position contributes to UNSW Bengaluru’s teaching, research and service activities in human resources management (HRM), organisational behaviour and leadership (OBL), and related management disciplines, with an emphasis on developing applied, discipline-specific knowledge, expertise and skills for future professionals. The role involves the design, development and delivery of undergraduate courses such as Foundations of Management, HRM, OBL, Managing People Across Cultures, Business Law, Economics, International Business, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship. The Assistant Professor works collaboratively with teaching teams, professional staff and academic leadership to ensure effective curriculum implementation, assessment integrity, student engagement, and compliance with UNSW academic standards and University Grants Commission (UGC) requirements. The position includes engagement in scholarly activity and the development of research linkages within the UNSW academic community and broader scholarly networks (e.g. AOM, AIB, AFAANZ, INDAM). Teaching quantitative and qualitative research methods, data analysis, and supervising applied research projects for the business capstone course form part of the role. The Assistant Professor also contributes to teaching and research activities that address emerging organisational challenges, including the impact of disruptive technologies such as artificial intelligence and blockchain on the future of work, while supporting a consistent, high quality student experience and strengthening UNSW Bengaluru’s academic reputation.
