Job Responsibility:
Design, deliver, and manage courses in Accountancy and Finance at postgraduate and undergraduate levels, ensuring relevance to academic standards, industry practices, and economic trends, and curriculum innovation
Prepare course materials, including lesson plans, assessments, and evaluation reports, aligned with university quality standards
Integrate research-informed and industry-aligned practices into teaching, learning, assessment, and feedback
Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations and applied research projects in accountancy and economics
Conduct original research leading to publications in high-quality academic journals
pursue opportunities for externally funded research
Contribute to academic administration, including moderation of assessments, programme review, and compliance with quality assurance protocols
Support a positive student experience through mentoring, academic advising, and inclusive teaching practices
Support accreditation and quality assurance activities contributing to continuous programme Improvement
Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and collaborative academic initiatives
Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching, research, and academic leadership capabilities
Adhere to all University policies and procedures, completing all obligatory training and induction modules, including Equality & Diversity and Health & Safety

Requirements:
Ph.D. in Accountancy, Finance, or a closely related field
Extensive academic experience, demonstrating meaningful contributions to teaching and research
Proven ability to design and deliver high quality, research informed teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, particularly in accounting and finance related subjects
Established research trajectory in finance and / or accounting or a closely related area
Experience contributing to curriculum development and programme enhancement, ensuring alignment with academic standards and evolving industry needs
Demonstrated potential for academic leadership, including involvement in course coordination, student mentoring, and participation in departmental committees or planning
