Position Overview This is a full-time role based in Rydalmere, NSW, offering an exciting opportunity to join the team at Hunter Douglas Limited as an Assistant Production Coordinator. In this position, you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation and efficiency of the company's fashion and textile design production processes. We’re looking for a passionate and hands-on Assistant Production Coordinator to lead daily assembly operations, driving efficiency, quality, and safety across our factory coverings line.
Job Responsibility
Prepare and update daily production schedules, job lists, and workflow plans
Ensure work orders, cut sheets, and production documentation are accurate and available
Track order progress and follow up on delays, shortages, rework, or sequencing issues
Coordinate material availability with warehouse teams and maintain component records
Maintain production boards, reporting templates, and quality documentation
Support continuous improvement activities, including HDMS reporting and 5S audits
Act as a key liaison between Production, Customer Service, Warehouse, and Quality teams
Support WHS administration, including safety records and incident follow‑ups
All other duties as assigned
Requirements
Experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment (blind making experience highly regarded)
Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
Comfortable working with schedules, data, and structured processes
Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced production environment
Confident communicator with strong follow‑up discipline
Certificate or Diploma in Business, Operations, Manufacturing, or similar (preferred)
Experience with Lean, 5S, or continuous improvement is an advantage.

What we offer
Annual base salary range: $75K - $80K plus super
