Job Description:

A leading multinational healthcare organization is seeking an Assistant Procurement Manager to oversee procurement operations for Malaysia and Singapore. The role includes supplier relationship management, strategic sourcing, category management, and procurement risk mitigation.

Job Responsibility:

Act as the procurement business partner for Malaysia and Singapore operations
Lead and manage third-party spend across all categories
Develop and execute country-level procurement strategies aligned with business goals
Conduct strategic sourcing, tenders, and offer evaluations
Implement category management for cost optimization and standardization
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
negotiate contracts and SLAs
Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement
Oversee end-to-end procurement operations ensuring efficiency and compliance
Support and lead procurement-related system implementations and change management
Identify and mitigate procurement risks
Ensure adherence to legal, ethical, and internal procurement policies
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement with business needs
Contribute to budgeting processes and value creation initiatives
Stay updated on market trends, new suppliers, and procurement innovations

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Science or Business (preferred)
3–5 years of procurement experience (experience in both Indirect and Direct categories preferred)
Pharmaceutical industry experience is an advantage
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Tech-savvy with solid procurement system knowledge
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Commercial awareness and customer-focused mindset
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
High level of integrity, enthusiasm, and motivation
Must possess a valid driver’s license

Nice to have:

Pharmaceutical industry experience
