Job Description

The Assistant Preconstruction Coordinator works closely with the Director of Preconstruction, Preconstruction Managers, Estimators, and other Preconstruction Coordinators in the preconstruction process, as well as handling general correspondence, filing and setting up meetings.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist the Preconstruction Coordinator and Preconstruction Team in the estimating processes
  • Project communications skills, ability to communicate verbally and written documentations with team members
  • Review bidding requirements, insurance requirements for projects prior to bid day
  • Download, organize and maintain Precon project folders, drawings and specs
  • Receive, assemble and submit RFI’s from subs to design team
  • Process RFI responses and issue addenda
  • Communicate with subcontractors to determine bid interest
  • Intake and organize quotations prior to bid day
  • Submit bids electronically, in person if required on bid day
  • Provide backup administrative support with various office duties, as needed
  • Schedule meetings as needed
  • Print, scan, archive and file records

Requirements

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong organization skills, detail oriented, along with effective time management and prioritization abilities
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet established deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, encompassing writing, speaking and active listening
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with limited supervision
  • Excellent computer skills and a high-comfort level with technology with the ability to quickly learn new computer programs
  • High proficiency with Microsoft products, including Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams
  • Prior construction office experience helpful, but not required
  • Ability to effectively collaborate within a team environment
  • Work well with deadlines and time constraints
