Job Description:

The City of Chandler Community Services Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as Assistant Pool Managers (part-time, temporary, non-benefited). This position is at the discretion of the department director and is scheduled to work morning, afternoon, and evening programming shifts, including weekends.

Job Responsibility:

Employee scheduling, training, and coaching employees
Prioritizing daily work assignments
Performing daily duties efficiently

Requirements:

1 year of High School
1 year of experience as a lifeguard and swimming instructor
A nationally recognized Lifeguard Certification
Swim Lesson Instructor Certification within 2 months of hire/promotion
A valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work

Nice to have:

A High School Diploma or GED
A Lifeguard Instructor Certification

What we offer:

Accrue 1 hour of paid Statutory Sick Leave (SSL) for every 30 hours worked, eligible for use immediately following accrual
may use up to 40 hours of SSL per tax calendar year
