Job Responsibility

  • Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees in the Recreation Department to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met
  • daily activities and planning for operation
  • The ability to be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, residents, and group contacts
  • Describe and ensure quality of all food & beverage items, amenities, ingredients, and preparation methods
  • Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control
  • Attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments
  • conduct preshift meetings with staff
  • Observe physical condition of facilities and equipment and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed

Requirements

  • Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card when working in food and beverage
  • One to two years previous experience in a Manager or assistant manager position
  • Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States

  • 2+ years of proven experience as a Pool Manager, Recreation Manager, or similar role in a recreational or hospitality environment
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within the restaurant industry
