This role is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll administration support, job postings, and applicant tracking. The position plays a key role in supporting employee engagement and fostering positive employee relations. A strong understanding of Japanese labor laws is essential to ensure compliance and support the recruitment and retention of top talent within the organization.
Job Responsibility
Source, interview, and refer qualified candidates to Department Heads and Division Heads
Maintain complete and accurate employee records, including documentation for both current and former employees within the HRIS (e.g., Workday)
Ensure proper and timely documentation for payroll processes, including new hires, employee personal information updates, salary adjustments, terminations, and monthly time and attendance records
Foster positive, professional, and respectful relationships with all employees
Maintain accurate records for employee insurance enrollment and manage the submission and tracking of claims
Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for future hiring needs
Support employee engagement initiatives, including Town Halls, Employee of the Month programs, company events, and general meetings
Manage and maintain the job posting system and employee turnover logs
Maintain records of employee transfer requests
Oversee the accuracy and upkeep of internal hotel communication boards
Coordinate and submit insurance reports and local pension documentation to payroll and insurance providers
Support the People & Culture function, including stepping in for the Assistant Director when required and assisting in daily operations
Uphold strict confidentiality while demonstrating a high level of professionalism and integrity
Respond appropriately to hotel emergencies or safety-related situations in accordance with company protocols
Perform additional tasks or projects as assigned by management
Requirements
Fully fluent in Japanese and possess business-level proficiency in English
2~3 years in Human Resources experiences in hotel industry, or experienced in hotel industry in management level
