Job Description:

We are seeking an Assistant People Business Partner to join the CSG People team, to cover a secondment on a fixed term contract from February 26 for 9 months (with a possible extension to 11 months), during an exciting period of business change and growth. The purpose of this role is to support the People Business Partners with the provision of a proactive strategic service to the business, delivering the CSG People Plan and supporting annual business processes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support People Business Partners with general queries and people related activity linked to the CSG Business Plan
  • Be the key contact in the People Business Partner team for a Product/area of CSG and lead on all People Business Partner activities in that area
  • Co-ordinate key annual processes, including the promotions process, salary review, professional funding and bonus payments
  • Support the ongoing backend maintenance and development of the feedback and performance system
  • Deal with regular and ad hoc people data reports
  • Represent the People team in the International Working Committee
  • Provide collaborative ad hoc support to the People Advisory team and/or Talent Attraction team during periods of high demand
  • Identify areas of continuous improvement or added value to the business
  • Embed and demonstrate the culture and values of CSG

Requirements:

  • A CIPD qualification, or part qualification, is desirable but not essential
  • Previous experience working in a busy People / HR team is essential
  • Significant expertise (ideally at Advisor level) in either Employee Relations, Recruitment or Learning and Development
  • IT and data literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • MS Excel knowledge and strong numerical skills are essential
  • Evidence of strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proactive and willing to take ownership of tasks and projects
  • Highly organised, has the ability to prioritise effectively and deal calmly with deadlines and conflicting priorities
  • Team oriented, flexible and enthusiastic with a positive and collaborative approach
  • Ability to work autonomously and use own initiative when required
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Has strong commercial awareness and is solutions orientated, with an enthusiasm for innovation and improvement
  • Demonstrates alignment with the Firm’s Cultural Principles (Clear, Creative, Determined and Supportive)

Nice to have:

  • Broad knowledge and some experience across all of these areas would be advantageous to the role
