As we continue to grow, we have an opportunity for an Assistant Operations Manager to join our Events team, in a Resourcing capacity. This role will support the Events Operations Management team to ensure the smooth running and ultimate success of all event operations by ensuring effective workforce planning across all events including Made by Merivale and Stadiums.
Job Responsibility:
Workforce planning and Staff allocation - writing and publishing rosters in a timely manner, ensuring these are built in accordance with labour controls, budget and forecasts, and are communicated precisely with the right team members being allocated the right shifts
Operational support - coordination and daily management of event pax/timing updates, making sure these are communicated to relevant teams along with resource availability, issues, and resolutions. As well as the coordination and administration of Match Day and Non-Match Day events, embedding and maintaining processes around successfully staffing these events
Relationships - maintaining stakeholder relationships with staffing agencies relating to bookings, timecard management, and invoicing
Compliance – ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and award obligations are met as well as monitoring and reporting of workforce requirements such as accreditations, RSA, and visa restrictions
Collaboration – working with the wider Event Operations Management team across all points of the employee life cycle including increasing workforce participation, engagement reporting, and relevant people moves as well as inducting and engaging new team members
Requirements:
Proven ability to prioritise and organise workflow, and ability to work autonomously across multiple tasks
Knowledge of time and attendance systems, with a strong understanding of Excel and other administrative tools
Understanding of the hospitality industry and previous experience working in an events management role are highly desirable
Ability to work across a 7-day rotating roster with Match Days a requirement of the role, availability over weekends and evenings are required on a needs basis
