Job Responsibility:

  • Support the Nursery Manager in day-to-day running of the setting, ensuring high-quality care, education, and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • create a nurturing and stimulating environment supporting children's development
  • build positive relationships with families, colleagues, and external agencies
  • oversee nursery operations including staff schedules, budgets, health and safety
  • act as a mentor fostering continuous improvement
  • promote ethos and values of The Old Station Nursery
  • maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety
  • lead inspections and maintain records for EYFS and Ofsted compliance

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification or above
  • proven experience in an Early Years leadership role, ideally as a Room Leader, Senior Practitioner or in a comparable position
  • comprehensive knowledge of the EYFS framework and best practices in early years education
  • strong leadership skills
  • excellent communication and organisational skills
  • proactive, solutions-focused mindset
  • passion for creating brighter futures for children
