Requirements

Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education is preferred
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm demeanour
Leadership qualities to support the nursery team effectively
A genuine passion for working with young children and fostering their development
A valid driving licence may be advantageous for transporting children or materials when necessary
A commitment to safeguarding children’s welfare and promoting their well-being

Job Responsibility

Assist in the daily care and supervision of children in the nursery setting
Implement educational activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to childcare
Maintain a clean and organised nursery environment, ensuring all equipment is safe and suitable for use
Support the lead nursery staff in managing children’s behaviour positively and constructively
Participate in planning and executing engaging activities that cater to the diverse needs of children
Observe and report on children’s progress, providing feedback to parents as necessary
Drive to various locations if required for outings or events

Requirements

Level 3 Early Years qualification or above
Proven experience in an Early Years leadership role, ideally as a Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager, Assistant Manager, or in a comparable position

Take responsibility for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety across the nursery
Confidently lead inspections and maintain accurate records to ensure compliance with the EYFS framework and Ofsted standards
