Job Description:

Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville is seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Nurse Manager to join our Emergency Department at Baptist ED North. This full-time Day shift (36 hours) leadership role offers an exciting opportunity to support a high-performing emergency team while delivering exceptional patient-centered care.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients as needed to support unit operations
  • Assess and reassess unit workflow and clinical performance to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Serve as a liaison between staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary departments
  • Act as a clinical and operational resource for staff
  • mentor team members and provide ongoing feedback
  • Monitor and adjust staffing and man-hours in alignment with the unit budget
  • Assist the Nurse Manager with employee relations, including disciplinary actions and annual performance evaluations
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional excellence

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree - Nursing
  • 3-5 Years Medical Surgical Experience
  • 3-5 Years Nursing Experience
  • Telemetry Experience
  • Leadership Experience
  • Charge Nurse Experience
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required

Nice to have:

  • Bachelor's Degree - Nursing
  • Trauma Nurse Core Course Certification (TNCC) Preferred
  • Certified Emergency Registered Nurse (CEN) Preferred
