Job Description:

Baptist Health is looking for an Assistant Nurse Manager to add to our Operating Room at our Baptist South location. This is a Full-Time opportunity with a 40 hour per week commitment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Providing nursing care to patients on the unit
  • The assessment and reassessment of unit function
  • serves as a liaison for staff, physicians and other departments
  • Providing resource for staff members as well as mentors growth and provides feedback to staff
  • Monitoring/adjusting manhours in accordance with unit budget
  • Assisting manager with disciplinary issues and annual performance reviews
  • Facilitating any special needs of the surgeon, meets with vendors and keeps preference sheets current
  • The ability to perform any role in the service - scrub, assist or circulate

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years Surgical Services Experience
  • 2-3 years Critical Care Nursing Experience
  • Medical Surgical Experience Required
  • Post- Surgical Nursing Experience Required
  • Nursing Experience
  • Associate of Science in Nursing Required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing Preferred
  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
