Job Description

Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville is seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Nurse Manager to join our Emergency Department at Baptist ED North. This full-time night shift leadership role offers an exciting opportunity to support a high-performing emergency team while delivering exceptional patient-centered care.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients as needed to support unit operations
  • Assess and reassess unit workflow and clinical performance to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Serve as a liaison between staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary departments
  • Act as a clinical and operational resource for staff
  • mentor team members and provide ongoing feedback
  • Monitor and adjust staffing and man-hours in alignment with the unit budget
  • Assist the Nurse Manager with employee relations, including disciplinary actions and annual performance evaluations
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional excellence
