Job Description:

To maintain the nursing staff in all areas as well as to deliver safe efficient age specific nursing care to patient/families.

Job Responsibility:

  • Routinely provide patient care
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team
  • Maintains employee records
  • Identifies needs for and provides Staff education/staff development
  • Participates in Discharge planning, community resource referrals, and education
  • Committee involvement, participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Oversees daily operations of unit/area in a cost-effective manner
  • Involved in Community outreach activities as pertinent Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients/customers and co-workers
  • Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment
  • Displays commitment to the mission and values of the organization
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards
  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients

Requirements:

  • (ADN) Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Required)
  • (BSN) Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing within 2 years of hire date (Required) or (MSN) Master’s Degree in Nursing within 2 years of hire date (Required)
  • 1+ years clinical experience (Required)
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills both written and verbal, as well as, exhibiting strong organizational skills and work ethic. (Required proficiency)
  • Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients/customers. (Required proficiency)
  • Demonstrated ability to handle high pressure situations with professionalism and integrity. (Required proficiency)
  • Knowledge of current technology and equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies (Required proficiency)
  • PC and computer applications (Required proficiency)
  • Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required Upon Hire)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)
  • Certification in a specialty clinical area or leadership (Required within 2 Years)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit
