As the Assistant Night Manager, you will be an essential part of our night operations team, supporting the Night Manager in ensuring smooth, efficient, and safe running of the hotel throughout the night. This pivotal role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving. You will be the first point of contact for guests during the night, ensuring their needs are met promptly and professionally while maintaining a safe and secure environment for all.
Job Responsibility:
Assist the Night Manager in overseeing all night-time hotel operations, ensuring high standards of guest service and safety
Manage guest check-ins and check-outs during night hours, providing a warm and efficient welcome
Respond promptly and effectively to guest enquiries, requests, and complaints, resolving issues to ensure guest satisfaction
Supervise and support night staff, including housekeeping and security personnel, ensuring adherence to hotel policies and procedures
Conduct regular inspections of public areas, guest rooms, and back-of-house to maintain cleanliness, safety, and security standards
Handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently, liaising with relevant authorities if required
Maintain accurate records and reports related to night operations, incidents, and maintenance issues
Collaborate with day management teams to ensure seamless handover and continuity of service
Requirements:
Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within the catering & hospitality sector, preferably in a hotel environment
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a night team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable manner
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in hotel management software and MS Office applications
Flexible approach to working hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to hospitality
