As our Assistant National Retail Manager, you will play a key role in driving retail performance, operational excellence and leadership capability across the Honey Birdette boutique network. Working closely with the National Retail Manager, you will help lead the national retail strategy - translating business objectives into clear, executable action plans across our boutiques. You understand that exceptional retail results are driven through strong leadership, disciplined operations and an unwavering commitment to delivering a premium customer experience. You will support the commercial success of the retail network by monitoring sales performance, labour optimisation, contribution and inventory management. Using data and insights, you will identify opportunities to improve boutique performance while ensuring retail teams are equipped to deliver consistently exceptional results. A core focus of the role is leadership development. You will partner with State and Area Managers to build strong, high-performing teams across the country - coaching leaders, strengthening talent pipelines and embedding a culture that puts customers and performance at the centre of everything we do. You will work closely with cross-functional teams across the business while maintaining a strong connection to our boutiques — ensuring every location delivers the bold, premium and unmistakably Honey Birdette experience.
Job Responsibility:
Support the execution of the national retail strategy, ensuring alignment to company vision, customer experience standards and financial targets
Partner with the National Retail Manager to drive national sales performance, contribution and operational excellence across the boutique network
Monitor retail performance metrics including sales, labour, contribution, shrinkage and customer KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement
Support the execution of national campaigns, promotions and retail initiatives across all boutiques
Assist State and Area Managers in translating strategic objectives into clear action plans that drive boutique performance
Ensure consistent operational standards, policies and procedures are implemented across the retail network
Support the planning and delivery of retail projects, activations and peak trading events
Partner with cross-functional teams including Product, Planning, Marketing and HR to ensure strong execution of brand initiatives in store
Monitor inventory performance and stocktake compliance to ensure accuracy and alignment to margin targets
Contribute to shrinkage improvement initiatives and support education and accountability across retail teams
Drive strong communication rhythms across the retail network, ensuring teams are aligned on priorities and updates
Support the use of reporting tools and post-campaign analysis to continuously improve retail performance and execution
Requirements:
Demonstrated experience supporting multi-site retail operations within premium, fashion or specialty retail
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse sales performance, retail metrics and identify opportunities to improve results
Proven ability to support and influence retail leadership teams to drive strong commercial and customer outcomes
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across geographically dispersed teams
Highly organised with strong operational capability, including retail reporting, compliance processes and inventory management
Experience contributing to team engagement, performance support and talent development within a fast-paced retail environment
A collaborative, hands-on leadership style with a passion for retail excellence and delivering exceptional customer experiences
